Omschrijving
Segment van verdedigingswerk vesting Muiden, deel uitmakend van de Nieuwe Hollandse Waterlinie. Het werk bestaat uit een aanleg van aardwerken, grachten en bijbehorende bebouwing en objecten zoals hierna genoemd.
De aanleg is het noordnoordoostelijk deel van de vesting Muiden. De aanleg omvat een vijftal bastions met tussenliggende courtines, de natte gracht rond het Muiderslot inclusief de ophaalbrug en een natte gracht noordelijk en oostelijk van de vijf bastions.
Op bastion I bevinden zich een gemetselde poterne en een gemetselde sluisbeer met waterinlaat. Op het bastion II bevindt zich een grondgedekte flankkazemat/bomvrij gebouw. Op het punt waar de courtine tussen de bastions I en II aansluit op bastion II ligt een gemetselde poterne. Deze geeft toegang tot de flankkazemat. In het midden van de courtine tussen de bastions III en IV is een gemetselde coupure gelegen. In de courtine tussen de bastions IV en V is een gemetselde coupure gelegen.

Description
Segment of defensive work Muiden fortress, part of the Nieuwe Hollandse Waterlinie. The work consists of an arrangement of earthworks, moats and associated structures and objects as named below.
The arrangement is the north-north-easterly part of Muiden fortress. The arrangement comprises five bastions with intervening curtains, the wet moat around Muiderslot including the drawbridge and a wet moat northerly and easterly of the five bastions.
On bastion I there is a masonry poterne and a masonry sluice gate with water inlet. On bastion II there is a bombproof flanking casemate. At the point where the curtain between bastions I and II connects to bastion II there is a masonry poterne. This provides access to the flanking casemate. In the middle of the curtain between bastions III and IV there is a masonry coupure. In the curtain between bastions IV and V there is a masonry coupure.
