Omschrijving
Middeleeuws pand bestaande uit twee bouwlagen, een kap met de nok loodrecht op de straat en een kelder onder een deel van het huis.
Dit gebouw behoorde oorspronkelijk tot het kapittel van Oudmunster. In eerste instantie diende het huis tot choraal huis en kapittelschool, later werd het als claustraal huis gebruikt. Tot de oudste opzet behoort het rechter deel van het huis waaronder twee kelders met tongewelven evenwijdig aan de straat.
De kap is een middeleeuwse eiken sporenkap met spanten en krommers. De spanten bevatten gekraste telmerken. Aan de linker voorzijde van de kap is het dakvlak opgetild zodat een aangebouwde travee onder hetzelfde dak kwam te liggen.
In de 15e eeuw of eerder werd een achterhuis aangebouwd, gedeeltelijk over de steeg links van Wed 1 heen gebouwd, dat later tot Oudegracht 168 is gaan behoren.
De voorgevel, met name de ingangspartij, is een goed voorbeeld van een vroeg 19e eeuwse verbouwing.
Het pand is historisch van belang als onderdeel van het kapittel van Oudmunster, bovendien van bouwhistorisch belang door de harmonieuze samenvoeging van onderdelen van verschillende bouwdatum.

Description
Medieval property consisting of two storeys, a roof with the ridge perpendicular to the street and a cellar under part of the house.
This building originally belonged to the chapter of Oudmunster. Initially the house served as a choral house and chapter school, later it was used as a claustral house. The oldest construction includes the right part of the house with two cellars with barrel vaults parallel to the street.
The roof is a medieval oak roof truss structure with rafters and curved braces. The rafters contain scratched carpenters' marks. On the left front side of the roof the roof plane is lifted so that a built-on bay came to lie under the same roof.
In the 15th century or earlier a rear house was built, partly built over the lane to the left of Wed 1, which later became part of Oudegracht 168.
The front facade, in particular the entrance section, is a good example of an early 19th century renovation.
The property is historically significant as part of the chapter of Oudmunster, furthermore important from a construction history perspective because of the harmonious joining of components of different construction dates.
