Een eind 16e eeuws, maar deels ouder, huis bestaande uit twee bouwlagen, een kap loodrecht op de straat en een kelder.
Oorspronkelijk bevond zich aan de noordzijde van de Servetstraat het bisschoppelijk "Gruithuis". Later is het opgedeeld in afzonderlijke huizen.
Delen van het muurwerk en de kelder behoren tot een middeleeuwse situatie.
De kelder is gedekt door een tongewelf. Op de beganegrond en de eerste verdieping behoren de moer- en kinderbalklagen met sleutelstukken tot een eind 16e eeuwse verandering. De achtergevel is een topgevel, gedeeltelijk van oudere datum, doch aangepast aan de eind 16e eeuwse situatie. In het begin van de 19e eeuw zijn de voorgevel en de kap veranderd, zodanig dat het huidige uiterlijk met een ingezwenkte halsgevel ontstond. Hierin valt vooral op de detailering van de onderpui en vensters op de verdieping met eierlijsten als deurkalf en wisseldorpels.
Het pand is historisch van belang als verbouwing van een deel van de bisschoppelijke eigendommen. Bovendien zijn het eind 16e eeuwse casco en de 19e eeuwse voorgevel van belang.

Description
A late 16th century house, but partly older, consisting of two storeys, a roof perpendicular to the street and a cellar.
Originally on the north side of Servetstraat stood the episcopal "Gruithuis". Later it was divided into separate houses.
Parts of the masonry and the cellar belong to a medieval situation.
The cellar is covered by a barrel vault. On the ground floor and the first upper floor the main and secondary beam layers with keystones belong to a late 16th century alteration. The rear facade is a spout gavel, partly of older date, but adapted to the late 16th century situation. In the early 19th century the front facade and the roof were changed, such that the present appearance with an inset neck gable emerged. Particularly striking is the detailing of the ground-floor frontage and windows on the upper floor with egg-and-dart mouldings as door-frame and alternating dormer windows.
The property is historically important as an alteration of part of the episcopal properties. Moreover, the late 16th century shell and the 19th century front facade are of importance.
