Description

A seventeenth-century building with a nineteenth-century bay of two storeys, a roof truss structure parallel to the street (perpendicular to the Oudegracht) and a cellar under part of the building.

This building, on the corner of the Oudegracht and Jacobijnenstraat, is characterized by the remarkable combination of a clearly recognizable seventeenth-century house and a nineteenth-century front extension (on the gracht side). This front extension with its intact shop front and original T-windows with curved upper lintel replaces the western bay of the seventeenth-century house.
