Zeventiende eeuws hoekpand van twee bouwlagen met zadeldak loodrecht op de Voorstraat, in gebruik gesplitst geweest in een deel aan de Voorstraat, geheten "Guldeberch", en het achterhuis aan de Kleine Slachtstraat, geheten "Silverberg".
Hoekpand, georienteerd op de Voorstraat, heeft als achterhuis Kleine Slachtstraat 1, en heeft twee bouwlagen met zolder en vliering onder zadeldak met wolfseind aan de voorzijde en een tuitgevel achter.
Het pand heeft samengestelde balklagen van vijf vakken diep. In het tweede vak is links een linksdraaiende spiltrap.
De lijstgevel aan de Voorstraat was oorspronkelijk een getrapte halsgevel met klauwstukken, bekroond door een segmentvormig fronton. De top, met een venster is gesloopt, het zadeldak is daarbij afgewolfd. De rest van de gevel is als lijstgevel bewaard gebleven en is drie vensters breed op de verdieping en twee vensters op zolderniveau. De houten winkelpui met centrale ingang heeft consoles met dierkoppen, vermoedelijk wijzend op een vroegere functie als slagerij.
De naam van het voorhuis blijkt uit de gevelsteen; Guldenberg. Deze steen vervangt een eerder exemplaar, "Dit is in den Guldenberch".
Het achterhuis, dat kennelijk al vroeg zelfstandig gebruikt werd met zijn ingang aan de Kleine Slachtstraat, draagt de genoemde gevelsteen uit 1558 die de voorgevel sierde. Voorheen zat hier een gevelsteen met een afbeelding van een berg en het onderschrift De Silverberg. Het jaartal 1558 kan op een oudere oorsprong van het pand wijzen. Description
Seventeenth century corner property of two storeys with gabled roof perpendicular to the Voorstraat, in use split into a part on the Voorstraat, called "Guldeberch", and the rear house on the Kleine Slachtstraat, called "Silverberg".
Corner property, oriented towards the Voorstraat, with rear house Kleine Slachtstraat 1, and has two storeys with attic and loft under gabled roof with half-hipped roof at the front and a spout gable at the rear.
The property has composite beam layers five bays deep. In the second bay on the left is a left-hand spiral staircase.
The cornice-topped facade on the Voorstraat was originally a stepped neck gable with claw pieces, crowned by a segmental pediment. The top, with a window is demolished, the gabled roof was thereby lowered. The rest of the facade is preserved as a cornice-topped facade and is three windows wide on the first floor and two windows at attic level. The wooden shop front with central entrance has consoles with animal heads, presumably pointing to a former function as a butcher's shop.
The name of the front house is evident from the facade stone; Guldenberg. This stone replaces an earlier example, "Dit is in den Guldenberch".
The rear house, which apparently was used independently from an early stage with its entrance on the Kleine Slachtstraat, bears the aforementioned facade stone from 1558 which adorned the front facade. Previously there was a facade stone here with an image of a mountain and the inscription De Silverberg. The date 1558 may point to an older origin of the property. On the Kleine Slachtstraat there was a Pothuis in the 17th century.
The property is of importance in terms of building history, very markedly located and contributes greatly to the character of the street, also through its facade stone.
