Omschrijving
In oorsprong vermoedelijk laat 18e-eeuws of vroeg 19e-eeuws SPEEL- of TUINHUIS, behorend bij het reeds onder monumentnummer 2759 beschermde grachtenhuis Keizersgracht 814 en gesitueerd achter in de bijbehorende tuin tegen de achterrooilijn over de volle breedte van het erf.
Het een bouwlaag hoge speelhuis is opgetrokken in baksteen onder plat zinken dak op breed, ondiep grondvlak. De uit glas en hout bestaande voorgevel heeft bij de hoeken twee lisenen met enkelvoudig ruitmotief en te weerszijden van de dubbele, in Empire-trant uitgevoerde tuindeuren twee gesneden pilasters met glasvulling in ruit- en amandelvormen. Het houten, van drie panelen voorziene, fries wordt bekroond door een driehoekig fronton.
De overige gevels zijn deels gecementeerd.
Inwendig bevindt zich rechts een eenvoudige, rechte marmeren schouw.
Speel- of tuinhuis van architectuur- en cultuurhistorisch belang wegens de bijzondere detaillering, de nog aanwezige historische functie en de ruimtelijk/functioneel- historische relatie met bijbehorende tuin en het reeds beschermde grachtenhuis aan een van de voornaamste grachten van Amsterdam.

Description
Originally presumed to be late 18th-century or early 19th-century GARDEN HOUSE or SUMMER HOUSE, belonging to the town house Keizersgracht 814 already protected under national monument number 2759 and situated at the rear of the associated garden against the back property line across the full width of the plot.
The single-storey garden house is constructed in brick under a flat zinc roof on a broad, shallow ground plan. The front facade consisting of glass and wood has at the corners two pilasters with simple lattice motif and on either side of the double garden doors executed in Empire style two carved pilasters with glass infill in lattice and almond forms. The wooden frieze with three panels is crowned by a triangular pediment.
The other facades are partly rendered in cement.
Internally on the right there is a simple, straight marble fireplace.
Garden house or summer house of architectural and cultural-historical importance due to the special detailing, the still present historical function and the spatial/functional-historical relationship with associated garden and the already protected town house on one of Amsterdam's principal canals.
