Gepleisterd blok van twee woningen met verdiep onder met rode en blauwe muldenpannen (bij nr. 2 gewijzigd) gedekt wolfdak (nok evenwijdig aan de straat), waarvan de dakvoet aan de voor- en achterzijde op twee plaatsen is opgenomen t.b.v. de zoldervensters, met geprofileerde houten gootlijsten en windveren; tegen de zijgevels een voormalig stalletje (thans keuken) met latere uitbreiding uit ca. 1955 onder met rode muldenpannen (bij nr. 2 gewijzigd) gedekt lessenaardak; plint, (hoek)pilasters en decoratieve details in schoon metselwerk; getoogde vensters, getoogde bovendorpel en ten dele met oorspronkelijke roedenverdeling. De woningen (1916/17), gelegen temidden van de afzonderlijke erven, zijn een deel van de in 1913-1918 door de Oranje Nassau Mijnen gebouwde mijnwerkerskolonie 'Schaesberg', die door zijn stedebouwkundige aanleg en overeenkomsten in architectuur, kleur- en materiaalgebruik een eenheid vormt en die een der gaafste en voor Nederland vrij zeldzame voorbeelden is van de op de internationale, 19e eeuwse (XIX B) traditie gebaseerde arbeiderswoningbouw door industrielen.

Description
Rendered block of two dwellings with storey under a half-hipped roof covered with red and blue pantiles (modified at no. 2), the roof edge at the front and rear taken in at two places for the attic windows, with profiled wooden drip mouldings and wind braces; against the side gables a former small stable (now kitchen) with later extension from c. 1955 under a half-hipped roof covered with red pantiles (modified at no. 2); plinth, (corner) pilasters and decorative details in fair-faced brickwork; arched windows, arched upper lintel and in part with original glazing bars. The dwellings (1916/17), situated in the middle of separate plots, are part of the miners' colony 'Schaesberg' built in 1913-1918 by the Oranje Nassau Mijnen, which by its urban planning design and similarities in architecture, colour and material use forms a unity and which is one of the most intact and for the Netherlands rather rare examples of workers' housing construction by industrialists based on the 19th-century international tradition (XIX B).
