Gepleisterd blok van twee woningen met verdiep onder met rode en blauwe muldenpannen (bij nr. 22 gewijzigd) gedekt zadeldak, met geprofileerde houten gootlijsten en windveren; tegen de zijgevels aangebouwd een voormalig stalletje (thans keuken) met latere uitbreiding erachter uit ca. 1955 onder met rode muldenpannen (bij nr. 22 gewijzigd) gedekt lessenaardak; plint, (hoek)pilasters en decoratieve details in schoon metselwerk; getoogde vensters, getoogde bovendorpel en ten dele met oorspronkelijke roedenverdeling (bij nr. 22 verwijderd). De woningen (1913), gelegen temidden van de afzonderlijke erven, zijn een deel van de in 1913-1918 door de Oranje Nassau Mijnen gebouwde mijnwerkerskolonie 'Schaesberg', die door zijn stedebouwkundige aanleg en overeenkomsten in architectuur, kleur- en materiaalgebruik een eenheid vormt en die een der gaafste en voor Nederland vrij zeldzame voorbeelden is van de op de internationale, 19e eeuwse (XIX B) traditie gebaseerde arbeiderswoningbouw door industrielen.

Description
Rendered block of two dwellings with storey beneath covered with gabled roof tiled with red and blue pan tiles (at no. 22 altered), with profiled wooden gutter mouldings and wind braces; built against the side gables a former small stable (now kitchen) with later extension behind from c. 1955 beneath covered with lean-to roof tiled with red pan tiles (at no. 22 altered); plinth, (corner) pilasters and decorative details in fair-faced brickwork; arched windows, arched lintel and partly with original glazing bars (at no. 22 removed). The dwellings (1913), situated in the midst of separate plots, are part of the miners' colony 'Schaesberg' built by the Oranje Nassau Mijnen in 1913-1918, which by its urban planning layout and similarities in architecture, colour and material use forms a unity and which is one of the most intact and for the Netherlands fairly rare examples of workers' housing construction by industrialists based on the international, 19th century (second half of the 19th century) tradition.
