In schoon metselwerk opgetrokken blok van twee woningen met verdiep onder met rode en blauwe muldenpannen gedekt zadeldak, met geprofileerde houten gootlijsten en windveren; tegen de zijgevels aangebouwd een voormalig stalletje (thans keuken) met latere uitbreiding erachter uit ca. 1955 onder met rode muldenpannen gedekt lessenaardak; plint, (hoek)pilasters en decoratieve details gepleisterd; getoogde vensters, getoogde bovendorpel en met oorspronkelijke roedenverdeling (bij nr.69 ten dele). De woningen (1917) gelegen temidden van de afzonderlijke erven, zijn een deel van de in 1913-1918 door de Oranje Nassau Mijnen gebouwde mijnwerkerskolonie 'Schaesberg', die door zijn stedebouwkundige aanleg en overeenkomsten in architectuur, kleur- en materiaalgebruik een eenheid vormt en die een der gaafste en voor Nederland vrij zeldzame voorbeelden is van de op de internationale, 19e eeuwse (XIX B) traditie gebaseerde arbeiderswoningbouw door industrielen.

Description
Block of two dwellings with storey built in fine masonry, covered with red and blue curved-tile gabled roof, with profiled wooden gutter mouldings and wind braces; against the side gables an adjoining former small stable (now kitchen) with later extension behind from circa 1955 covered with red and blue curved-tile sloping roof; plinth, (corner) pilasters and decorative details rendered; arched windows, arched upper lintel and with original glazing bars (at nr.69 partly). The dwellings (1917) situated in the middle of the individual plots, are part of the miners' colony 'Schaesberg' built in 1913-1918 by the Oranje Nassau Mijnen, which by its urban planning layout and similarities in architecture, colour and material use forms a unity and which is one of the most intact and for the Netherlands fairly rare examples of workers' housing construction by industrialists based on the international, 19th century (second half of the 19th century) tradition.
