Omschrijving
Toren R.K. Kerk O.L. Vrouwe Hemelvaart. Sobere bakstenen toren zonder steunberen met romp van drie geledingen. XVd, verhoogd met achtkante lantaarn door Simon Pinet en Jacob van Ceulen 1538-'40. Koepeldak 1828. Klokkenstoel met gelui van vijf klokken, waarvan één van G. van Wou, 1484, diam. 124 cm. (gelast), één van C. Noorden en J.A. de Grave, 1714, diam. 157,6 cm. en drie van J. Taylor en Co, 1929, diam. respectievelijk 116,7 cm., 104,1 cm. en 91,6 cm. Deze klokken zijn tevens aangesloten aan het klokkenspel, dat voorts bestaat uit nog 37 klokken van Taylor en 5 moderne klokken. Mechanisch torenuurwerk B. Eijsbouts, 1909, later voorzien van elektrische opwinding. Trommelspeelwerk van Addicks, 1931, is buiten gebruik gesteld.

Description
Tower of R.C. Church O.L. Vrouwe Hemelvaart. Austere brick tower without buttresses with a body of three storeys. Late 15th century, heightened with octagonal lantern by Simon Pinet and Jacob van Ceulen 1538-'40. Dome roof 1828. Bell chamber with carillon of five bells, one by G. van Wou, 1484, diameter 124 cm. (cracked), one by C. Noorden and J.A. de Grave, 1714, diameter 157.6 cm. and three by J. Taylor and Co, 1929, diameter respectively 116.7 cm., 104.1 cm. and 91.6 cm. These bells are also connected to the carillon, which further consists of 37 more bells by Taylor and 5 modern bells. Mechanical tower clock by B. Eijsbouts, 1909, later provided with electrical winding. Drum music player by Addicks, 1931, has been put out of service.
