Omschrijving
Stadsschouwburg "Odeon" met interieur. In neo-Lodewijk XV-trant uitgevoerde schouwburgzaal (1868, vergroot 1883) met van stucversieringen voorziene balkons en ovaal koofplafond, waarvan de kooflijst gedragen wordt door consoles en het middenstuk een opengewerkte rijke versiering binnen meanderlijst bezit. Het eveneens tot het schouwburgcomplex behorende poortgebouw dateert uit 1867. Gepleisterde voorgevel met risalerende en van rustica-pleister voorziene middenpartij, getoogde vensters, cordonlijst van waaraf een halfcirkelvormig venster boven de toegangsdeuren opgaat, rechthoekige spaarvelden boven de zijvensters en houten kroonlijst. Het poortgebouw draagt een pannen zadeldak.

Description
Municipal Theatre "Odeon" with interior. Theatre hall executed in neo-Louis XV style (1868, enlarged 1883) with stucco-decorated balconies and oval coffered ceiling, the soffit moulding of which is borne by corbels and the central section having rich open-worked ornament within meander moulding. The gatehouse building, also part of the theatre complex, dates from 1867. Plastered front facade with projecting central section ornamented with rusticated plaster, arched windows, cordon moulding from which a semicircular window rises above the entrance doors, rectangular spare fields above the side windows and wooden cornice. The gatehouse bears a tile gabled roof.
