Omschrijving
Aan de Noordzijde van de Broerenkerk het v.m. BROERENKLOOSTER, gebouwd in 1465-1493 en van 1830 tot 1973 als kazerne in gebruik. Het complex bestaat uit de volgende onderdelen: 1.) Aansluitend bij de kloostergang tegen de Noordzijde van de kerk de Westelijke kloostervleugel, bestaande uit een begane grond met twee verdiepingen en een schilddak, met pannen gedekt. In de oostelijke gevel van deze vleugel zijn op de begane-grond de vijf spitsbogen van de kloostergang, gescheiden door zware steunberen, bewaard gebleven. Deze bogen zijn later dichtgezet en van vensters met zesruitsschuiframen voorzien. In de noordelijke vensteras een getoogde poort met in de sluitsteen het jaartal 1821. Vensters met zesruitsschuiframen. 2.) de Noordelijke kloostervleugel langs Aan de stadsmuur (voorheen Waterstraat). Hiervan is het westelijke deel vervangen door een moderne fabriek (no. 84). Het middelste deel is in oorsprong nog laat-middeleeuws en heeft een omlopend schilddak. (no. 86). Het oostelijke deel op de hoek van het Eiland is een in oorsprong nog laat-middeleeuws gebouw, gepleisterd en verminkt, met oude balklagen en een gewijzigd zadeldak. Aan de stadsmuur een poort met afgeschuinde zijkanten (no. 88.) 3.) De oostelijke kloostervleugel, in 1882, welk jaartal staat boven de poort in de westgevel, vernieuwd. Description
On the north side of the Broerenkerk the former FRIARY CLOISTER, built in 1465-1493 and used as a barracks from 1830 to 1973. The complex consists of the following components: 1.)
