Omschrijving
De oneven zijde van deze straat, waarvan de panden met hun achtergevels aan de Berkel stonden, is in het kader van de krotopruiming afgebroken. Nr 47 had een achterhuis onder een schilddak, dat met gemetselde bogen over de Berkel was uitgebouwd en waarvan een kamer over het water was uitgekraagd op gesneden korbelen in de vorm van leeuwefiguren (1664). Na de afbraak van het bijbehorende pand is deze achtergevel herbouwd in de oorspronkelijke staat als onderdeel van een quasi-oud pand, dat het nummer Rijkenhage 1 verkreeg.

Description
The odd side of this street, of which the buildings with their rear facades faced the Berkel, was demolished in the context of slum clearance. No. 47 had a rear building under a hipped roof, which was extended with mortared arches over the Berkel and of which a room over the water was cantilevered on carved corbels in the form of lion figures (1664). After the demolition of the associated building this rear facade was rebuilt in the original state as part of a pseudo-old building, which received the number Rijkenhage 1.
