Omschrijving
Parochiekerk van de H. Nicolaas. Gebouwd 1885-1887 door A.C. Bleys. Driebeukig kruisbasiliek in neorenaissance stijl met aan weerszijden van de voorgevel twee torens met barokke helmen en op de kruising een achthoekige toren met koepel, bekroond door een lantaarn. Inwendig pijlers met arcaden, hoge pilasters met Corintische kapitelen en tongewelven met cassetten over de hoofdbeuken. Meubilair in renaissancevormen: altaren en preekstoel van E. van den Bossche, muurschilderingen van Jan Dunselman. Orgel met Hoofdwerk, Positief, Recit en Pedaal, in 1889 gemaakt door W. Sauer. Naast de kerk de eveneens door Bleys gebouwde pastorie met o.a. opmerkelijke zaal in neorenaissancetrant.

Description
Parish church of St. Nicholas. Built 1885-1887 by A.C. Bleys. Three-aisle cruciform basilica in neo-Renaissance style with two towers with Baroque domes on either side of the front facade and at the crossing an octagonal tower with dome, crowned by a lantern. Inside pillars with arcades, tall pilasters with Corinthian capitals and barrel vaults with coffers over the main aisles. Furnishings in Renaissance forms: altars and pulpit by E. van den Bossche, wall paintings by Jan Dunselman. Organ with Great, Positive, Swell and Pedal, made in 1889 by W. Sauer. Next to the church the rectory, also built by Bleys, with among others a remarkable hall in neo-Renaissance style.
