Omschrijving
PAALTJASKER gelegen nabij het Meestersveen, gebouwd voor 1930 en voor 1930 in de zomermaanden in gebruik voor het turfsteken in het veentje bij Amen (gemeente Rolde). De tjasker is gerestaureerd in de jaren 1982-1983 en staat sedertdien op zijn huidige plaats.
Eenvoudig te demonteren en te verplaatsen houten poldermolentje bestaande uit wiekenkruis (5.50 meter vlucht), houten as (6.60 meter lang), houten vijzel (2.50 lang bij een doorsnee van 0.43 meter) en houten ton; ijzeren ketting voor het draaien op de wind. De vijzelton wordt rechtstreeks door windkracht aangedreven; wiekenkruis en as zijn zodanig op een door schoren gesteunde houten paal (molenpaal) gemonteerd, dat de tjasker vrij op de wind door de maalkom of buitenste ringsloot kan bewegen.

Description
PAALTJASKER located near the Meestersveen, built before 1930 and used before 1930 in the summer months for peat digging in the small fen near Amen (municipality of Rolde). The tjasker was restored in 1982-1983 and has stood in its current location since then.
Simple to dismantle and relocate wooden polder mill consisting of a windmill cross (5.50 metre span), wooden shaft (6.60 metres long), wooden screw (2.50 long with a diameter of 0.43 metre) and wooden barrel; iron chain for turning into the wind. The screw barrel is driven directly by wind power; the windmill cross and shaft are mounted on a wooden pole (mill pole) supported by braces, in such a way that the tjasker can move freely in the wind through the grinding basin or outer ring ditch.
