Omschrijving
Bornhof. In XIVa gesticht OUDELIEDENHUIS op een terrein tussen Zaadmarkt en Bornhovestraat. Vernieuwd XIXc met uitzondering van het hoofdgebouw midden in de vleugel langs de Bornhovestraat en de toegangspoort aan de Markt, uitgevoerd in natuursteen, 1723, bekroond met beelden van een oude man en vrouw. Het hoofdgebouw, Markt 101, is een gepleisterd huis, geheel vertimmerd, dat echter de oorspronkelijke en zeer belangrijke sporenkap uit ca.1300 behouden heeft. Twee tongewelfde kelders. De uit XIXc daterende gebouwen van de stichting hebben sobere lijstgevels met in de vensters een roedenverdeling in stijl ca.1800. Ten noorden van het hoofdgebouw bevindt zich onder de 19e eeuwse bebouwing een kelder met straalgewelven. Onder de bebouwing in de N.W. hoek van het Bornhof kelder met kruisgewelven. Onder de vleugel naast de ingangspoort aan de Markt een kelder met tongewelven.

Description
Bornhof. Founded in the first half of the 14th century as an ALMSHOUSE on land between Zaadmarkt and Bornhovestraat. Renewed in the 19th century with the exception of the main building in the middle of the wing along the Bornhovestraat and the entrance gate at the Markt, executed in ashlar, 1723, crowned with figures of an old man and woman. The main building, Markt 101, is a plastered house, entirely timber-framed, but which has retained the original and very important roof truss structure from ca.1300. Two barrel-vaulted cellars. The buildings of the institution dating from the 19th century have simple cornice-topped facades with glazing bars in the windows in the style of ca.1800. To the north of the main building, beneath the 19th-century buildings, is a cellar with radial vaults. Beneath the buildings in the N.W. corner of the Bornhof a cellar with cross vaults. Beneath the wing next to the entrance gate at the Markt a cellar with barrel vaults.
