De bolwerken, thans geplantsoeneerd met de daarvoor liggende grachten, lopend van de Noorderhavenpoort, omgaand, de Nobelpoort, de Zuidwellebrug en de Westbrug passerend, aansluitend aan de zuidzijde van de stad aan het Blauwe Bolwerk; Oude Haven, havenbassin, gelegen aan de westzijde van de havenpoorten, lopend vandaar tot aan het Kraanplein, voorzien van gemetselde kademuren, Nieuwe Haven, havenbassin door het zogenaamde havenkanaal verbonden met de Oosterschelde, gelegen tussen de Zuidhavenpoort en de brug naar de Engelsekade. Tot voorbij het zogenaamde Blauwe Bolwerk aan de stadszijde en ook aan de Engelsekade voorzien van een gemetselde kademuur.

Description
The bastions, now planted out with the ditches in front of them, running from the Noorderhavenpoort, encircling, the Nobelpoort, the Zuidwellebrug and the Westbrug, adjoining at the south side of the city to the Blauwe Bolwerk; Oude Haven, harbour basin, situated on the west side of the harbour gates, running from there to the Kraanplein, provided with brick quay walls. Nieuwe Haven, harbour basin connected by the so-called harbour canal with the Oosterschelde, situated between the Zuidhavenpoort and the bridge to the Engelsekade. Provided with a brick quay wall beyond the so-called Blauwe Bolwerk on the city side and also on the Engelsekade.
