Omschrijving
Twee huizen, gebouwd tegen de stadsmuur ten oosten van de Waterpoort. Het westelijke huis heeft een schilddak, dat aan de zijde der Waterstraat wordt afgesloten door een 16e eeuwse trapgevel. Het oostelijke huis telt een verdieping meer dan het westelijke, heeft een schilddak en aan de Waterstraat een vroeg 19e eeuwse gevel. Van beide panden worden gelijktijdig met de poort de voorgevels ingrijpend vernieuwd, gerestaureerd in 1942-'43. Description
Two houses, built against the city wall east of the Waterpoort. The western house has a hipped roof, which on the side of Waterstraat is terminated by a 16th-century stepped gable. The eastern house has one storey more than the western one, has a hipped roof and on Waterstraat an early 19th-century facade. The front facades of both properties are substantially renewed at the same time as the gate, restored in 1942-'43. A section of the city wall with two high relieving arches and a brick arch frieze on natural stone corbels.
