Omschrijving
Stadhuis. Rechthoekig, bakstenen gebouw, opgetrokken tussen 1760 en 1763 naar ontwerp van Anthony Viervant te Arnhem, bestaande uit een souterrain, een bel-etage en een verdieping en bekroond door een omlopend schilddak, waarop aan de voorzijde een houten klokkentorentje. Het gebouw heeft een hardstenen plint met bordes, waarop een balustrade. De voorgevel wordt verlevendigd door zes doorgaande bakstenen pilasters van de Dorische orde, die een hoofdgestel dragen, waarvan het fries triglyphen bezit. Town Hall. Rectangular, brick building, erected between 1760 and 1763 after a design by Anthony Viervant of Arnhem, consisting of a basement, a principal storey and a storey and crowned by a surrounding hipped roof, on the front of which a wooden clock tower. The building has a stone plinth with a platform, on which a balustrade.
