Omschrijving
Bakstenen huis met wolfdak, in 1752 gebouwd, in 1804 en later gewijzigd, sinds 1854 raadhuis. Lijstgevel met zijrisalieten; elk met een ingangsomlijsting met pilasters en Ionische kapitelen en met een gesneden deur en een rijk snijraam in Lodewijk XVI-stijl. Boven de voorgevel twee houten dakkapellen met zijmeanders. Aan de gevel een lantaarn. Haakse achterbouw van hout met aan de Zaan een ingezwenkt voorschot in rococo-stijl. Aan de Zaan een open balustrade van hout. Gang achter de linkeringang met stucplafond in rococo-stijl. Trappehuis eindigend in een torenkamertje. Gang achter de rechteringang met een geschilderd plafondstuk, XVII A, in een rococo-omlijsting van stuc. In de raadzaal een rijke Lodewijk XV schoorsteenmantel, lambrizering, deuren en omlijstingen, XVIIIc; geschilderd behang en dessus-de-porte, XIXa. Op de bovenverdieping een tegelschouw. In de achteraanbouw eveneens een tegelschouw.

Description
Brick house with half-hipped roof, built in 1752, altered in 1804 and later, since 1854 town hall. Cornice-topped facade with side risalits; each with an entrance surround with pilasters and Ionic capitals and with a carved door and a richly carved window in Louis XVI style. Above the front gable two wooden roof dormers with side meanders. On the gable a lantern. Right-angled rear building of wood with on the Zaan a recurved fascia in rococo style. On the Zaan an open wooden balustrade. Passage behind the left entrance with stucco ceiling in rococo style. Staircase ending in a tower room. Passage behind the right entrance with a painted ceiling panel, first half 17th century, in a rococo stucco surround. In the council chamber a rich Louis XV fireplace mantel, panelling, doors and surrounds, mid-18th century; painted wallpaper and overdoor, early 19th century. On the upper storey a tile fire surround. In the rear extension likewise a tile fire surround.
