Omschrijving
Hervmorde kerk. Zeer oud (twaalfde-eeuws) tufstenen kerkgebouw met wat jonger bakstenen koor. Toren beneden uit turfsteen, in 1516 verhoogd. Boven noordelijke ingang reliëf van rode zandsteen, twaalfde eeuw. Zuidelijke ingang door poortje, 1516. Mooi interieur blijkens gedenkbord uit 1695, bestaande uit betimmering, koorafsluiting, banken met gesneden wangstukken, preekstoel met doophek; voorst familiebank. Tiara en van Heemstra, memoriebord van Heemstra, met geschilderd wapen, portret van Ida van Heemstra en wapenbord en gedenkbord uit 1798. Zerk van Heemstra's door Jacob Lous, 1614. Orgel in 1858 gemaakt door W. Hardorff. Klokkenstoel met klok van G. van Wou, 1515, diameter 110 centimeter. Mechanisch torenuurwerk, A.H. van Bergen, Heiligerlee, 1905.

Description
Reformed church. Very old (twelfth-century) tufa stone church building with somewhat later brick choir. Tower below from turf-stone, heightened in 1516. Above north entrance relief of red sandstone, twelfth century. South entrance through small gate, 1516. Beautiful interior evidenced by memorial plaque from 1695, consisting of wooden panelling, choir enclosure, benches with carved end-pieces, pulpit with baptismal gate; ahead family bench. Tiara and van Heemstra, memorial plaque of van Heemstra, with painted coat of arms, portrait of Ida van Heemstra and armorial plaque and memorial plaque from 1798. Gravestones of van Heemstra's by Jacob Lous, 1614. Organ made in 1858 by W. Hardorff. Bell-frame with bell by G. van Wou, 1515, diameter 110 centimetres. Mechanical tower clock, A.H. van Bergen, Heiligerlee, 1905.
