Omschrijving
De "Eper" of "Winbergermolen"; in 1884 als GRAANMOLEN gebouwde watermolen met onderslagrad, gelegen op de Geul; in 1914 werd het waterrad vervangen door een Francisturbine met gietijzeren as en het molengebouw enigszins vergroot. Het molengebouw is een sober, in schoon metselwerk opgetrokken bedrijfsgebouw annex woning met verdieping onder met blauwe muldenpannen gedekt zadeldak en voorzien van getoogde vensters met T-ramen; tegen de oostgevel (achtergevel) latere uitbreidingen uit 1949, 1963 en 1973, welke niet onder de bescherming vallen; eenvoudige 19e en 20e eeuws ijzeren drijf- en maalwerk en twee koppels stenen. Bovenstrooms een vaste stuw met sluis en overstort, die dient voor het creeren van het nodige verval om de molen te kunnen laten functioneren. De nog geregeld in gebruik zijnde watermolen is een fraai gelegen, sober, doch goed voorbeeld van een turbinemolen en vormt een onderdeel van een reeks van 12 opeenvolgende (beschermde) watermolens op de Geul.

Description
The "Eper" or "Winbergermolen"; built in 1884 as a GRAIN MILL water mill with undershot wheel, situated on the Geul; in 1914 the water wheel was replaced by a Francis turbine with cast iron shaft and the mill building was somewhat enlarged. The mill building is a sober industrial building with adjoining dwelling constructed in fair masonry with upper storey under blue pantile gabled roof and furnished with arched windows with T-shaped frames; against the east gable (rear gable) later extensions from 1949, 1963 and 1973, which are not covered by the protection; simple 19th and 20th century iron drive and milling machinery and two pairs of stones. Upstream a fixed weir with sluice and spillway, which serves to create the necessary head for the mill to function. The still regularly used water mill is a beautifully situated, sober yet fine example of a turbine mill and forms part of a series of 12 successive (protected) water mills on the Geul.
