Omschrijving
Zelfzwichtende SPINNEKOP- of KOKERMOLEN op stenen schuur, naar eigen ontwerp in 1938 als zaagmolen gebouwd door architect Luitje Wiertsema te Sappemeer. Deze jonge molen is intussen de enig bewaarde spinnekopmolen in de provincie Groningen.
Mooi aan de Westerwoldsche Aa, nabij het recreatiegebied de Wedderbergen gelegen ronde spinnekop met stelling op sobere, maar verzorgd uitgevoerde stenen schuur onder met pannen belegd zadeldak, waarin zich een zaagraam met aandrijving en verder toebehoren bevindt. Het onderhuis van de molen is van houten met zink bekleed; de kop met windroos is verticaal beschoten; de vlucht bedraagt 10 meter.

Description
Self-regulating SPINNEKOP or COKE-MILL on stone barn, built to own design in 1938 as a sawmill by architect Luitje Wiertsema at Sappemeer. This young mill is meanwhile the only preserved spinnekop mill in the province of Groningen.
Beautifully located on the Westerwoldsche Aa, near the recreation area the Wedderbergen, round spinnekop with staging on sober but carefully executed stone barn under gabled roof covered with tiles, in which a sawing frame with drive and further fittings are located. The lower house of the mill is of wood with zinc cladding; the head with wind vane is vertically boarded; the sweep measures 10 metres.
