Verdedigingswerk aan de zuidoostzijde van Weesp, deel uitmakend van de Nieuwe Hollandse Waterlinie, bestaande uit een aanleg van aardwerken, grachten en bijbehorende bebouwing en objecten zoals hierna genoemd.
De aanleg omvat een tweetal zogenoemde fronten, elk bestaande uit twee bastions verbonden door een courtine. Het zogenoemde Utrechtse Front ligt aan de zuidzijde van de stad. Het andere, het zogenoemde ’s-Gravelandse Front, ligt ten oostnoordoosten van de stad, aan de rechteroever van de Vecht. De aanleg omvat verder de grachten voor de beide fronten, een natte gracht rond het torenfort in het ’s Gravelandse Front, het glacis en de met natuurstenen grenspalen afgebakende militaire landsgrond.
Op bastion Bakkerschans van het ’s-Gravelandse Front bevindt zich een houten artillerieloods. Op het bastion Nieuw Achtkant van het ’s-Gravelandse Front bevinden zich een remise/bomvrij buskruitmagazijn (gebouw C), een betonnen groepsschuilplaats en de betonblokken van een gietstalen koepelkazemat. Tussen de twee bastions is een bomvrije, ronde, toren (fort aan de Ossenmarkt) gelegen, omringd door de natte gracht met daarin de restanten van een damsluis.
Op het bastion Draaierschans van het Utrechtse Front bevinden zich een betonnen groepsschuilplaats, een niet afgebouwde betonnen groepsschuilplaats en de betonblokken van een gietstalen koepelkazemat. Op het bastion Roozenboom van het Utrechtse Front bevinden zich een remise/bomvrij magazijn (gebouw D), een betonnen groepsschuilplaats en de betonblokken van een gietstalen koepelkazemat.

Description
Fortification on the south-east side of Weesp, forming part of the Nieuwe Hollandse Waterlinie, consisting of an arrangement of earthworks, ditches and associated buildings and structures as named below.
The arrangement comprises two so-called fronts, each consisting of two bastions connected by a curtain. The so-called Utrecht Front lies on the south side of the town. The other, the so-called 's-Graveland Front, lies to the east-north-east of the town, on the right bank of the Vecht. The arrangement further comprises the ditches for both fronts, a wet ditch round the tower fort in the 's-Graveland Front, the glacis and the military Crown land demarcated by natural stone boundary posts.
On bastion Bakkerschans of the 's-Graveland Front is situated a wooden artillery shed. On bastion Nieuw Achtkant of the 's-Graveland Front are situated a remise/bomb-proof gunpowder magazine (building C), a concrete group shelter and the concrete blocks of a cast-steel cupola casemate.
