Omschrijving
Resten van het monumentale kasteel van Weert, de Nijeborgh, waarvan het hoofdgebouw grotendeels 15e eeuws was. Binnen de omgrachting liggen o.a.: resten van de vierkante ommuring, van twee ronde hoektorens en resten van een zware vierkante hoektoren, waarop een later woonhuis staat. Van de voorburcht bestaan nog de resten van de poort.

Description
Remains of the monumental castle of Weert, the Nijeborgh, of which the main building was largely 15th century. Within the moat lie among others: remains of the square perimeter wall, of two round corner towers and remains of a heavy square corner tower, on which a later dwelling house stands. Of the outer ward there remain ruins of the gate.
