Omschrijving complexonderdeel 1: molen
KORENMOLEN 'De Zwaluw'. Achtkante grondzeiler met gemetselde veldmuren en met riet beklede romp en kap, gebouwd in 1837 door molenmakers L. Reinds en B. Sluter ter vervanging van een standerdmolen. De gietijzeren as is afkomstig van de afgebroken molen van Termunten. Naast de deur aan de westkant bevindt zich, net boven het maaiveld, een natuurstenen peilmerksteentje met het opschrift: 8.07 M boven N.A.P. Het werd door Rijkswaterstaat aangebracht bij gelegenheid van de 'Eerste Nauwkeurigheidswaterpassing' die tussen 1875 en 1885 door Rijkswaterstaat werd uitgevoerd. De molen is in 1951 gerestaureerd.

Description of complex component 1: mill
CORN MILL 'De Zwaluw'. Octagonal ground sailer with masonry timber-frame walls and reed-thatched body and roof, built in 1837 by millwrights L. Reinds and B. Sluter to replace a post mill. The cast-iron shaft originates from the demolished mill of Termunten. Next to the door on the west side, just above ground level, there is a natural stone benchmark stone with the inscription: 8.07 M above N.A.P. It was installed by Rijkswaterstaat on the occasion of the 'First Precision Levelling' which was carried out by Rijkswaterstaat between 1875 and 1885. The mill was restored in 1951.
