Omschrijving
Ronde, conische, gietijzeren VUURTOREN naar ontwerp van Q. Harder en uitgevoerd door gieterij D.A. Schretlen & Co (1878), welke aanvankelijk het bovenstuk was van het lage licht te IJmuiden en in 1909 door gieterij Pens en Bauduin werd overgebracht naar Vlieland.
De toren is 9.50 m.hoog, is roodbruin geschilderd en heeft 3 etages. Rond het gietijzeren lichthuis met koperen koepel bevindt zich een omloop rustend op consoles en voorzien van balustrade. Rechtgesloten toegangsdeur, rechtgesloten 4-ruitsvensters en een reeks kleine ronde vensters tussen de consoles van de omloop. Gedecoreerde gietijzeren trappen.

Description
Round, conical, cast-iron LIGHTHOUSE designed by Q. Harder and executed by foundry D.A. Schretlen & Co (1878), which was initially the upper part of the low light at IJmuiden and in 1909 by foundry Pens and Bauduin was transferred to Vlieland.
