Eenvoudig 19e eeuws eenbeukig bakstenen WATERSTAATSKERKJE (eerste steen 1851), bekroond door eenvoudig torentje bestaande uit houten ophaal met galmgaten, bekroond door ingesnoerde met leien beklede naaldspits voorzien van windvaan. Het koor is driezijdig gesloten. De ingangspartij risaleert enigszins terwijl de hoeken door pilasters worden benadrukt. De rondboogvensters, met houten tracering, ligging in iets verzonken velden; het geheel wordt gedekt door een met blauwe pannen belegd driezijdig schilddak. Geschilderde gietijzeren goten. In de linkerzijmuur stichtingssteen met opschrift en stichtingsdatum. Klokkenstoel met klok van Petit en Fritsen, 1819, diam. 38 cm. Het interieur (XIX B) is zeer sober; houten preekstoel en enige houten banken. Eenklaviers mechanisch orgel met aangehangen pedaal, gemaakt door H. van der Molen uit Steenwijk in 1904. Gebouw behorende tot de kolonie-gebouwen van de Maatschappij van Weldadigheid. Description
Simple 19th century single-aisle brick WATERSTAATSKERKJE (first stone 1851), crowned by a simple small tower consisting of wooden hoist with sound holes, crowned by a compressed slate-clad needle spire equipped with weather vane. The choir is closed on three sides. The entrance section projects somewhat while the corners are emphasised by pilasters. The round-arched windows, with wooden tracery, located in slightly recessed fields; the whole is covered by a three-sided hipped roof with blue tiles. Painted cast-iron gutters. In the left side wall foundation stone with inscription and foundation date. Bell frame with bell by Petit en Fritsen, 1819, diam. 38 cm. The interior (second half of the 19th century) is very austere; wooden pulpit and some wooden benches. Single-manual mechanical organ with attached pedal, made by H. van der Molen from Steenwijk in 1904. Building belonging to the colony buildings of the Maatschappij van Weldadigheid.
