Omschrijving
Kloostercomplex. In zwaar geboomte gelegen complex van om een pandhof gegroepeerde drie vleugels, waarvan de zuidelijke door de hooggotische kapel gevormd wordt, thans Hervormde Kerk. Langs de pandhofzijde van de noordvleugel en oostvleugel alsmede langs een gedeelte van de kapel loopt de overwelfde kruisgang. Het oostelijk gedeelte van de noordelijke vleugel is verhoogd boven een door kruisgewelven overkluisde kelder. Over de zaal een balkenplafond met laat-gotisch geschilderd maaswerk en een arkelvormig uitgebouwd venster gedateerd 1554. In de kerk rijkgebeeldhouwd stenen oxaal. In het koor omlijsting en onderbouw van een sacramentshuis, driezijdig gestoelte van natuursteen eiken koorbanken met snijwerk en enig decoratief schilderwerk; preekstoel uit 1711; offerblok XVII. Eenklaviers orgel van de Gebr. Van Oeckelen uit 1908. Altaarmensa en vele grafzerken. De oostvleugel bevat de z.g. Stadskamer waarvan de zoldering opengewerkte laatgotische panelen gehad heeft waarvan er nog enkele over zijn. Gestucte schoorsteenboezem met wapen van de stad Groningen XVIIIb; bij de restauratie aangebrachte schoorsteenmantel; bij de schoorsteen passende kastenwand. In een westelijker vertrek van de noordvleugel een laatgotische schouw. Tot de oude inventaris zal het klokje behoord hebben, gedateerd 1503.

Description
Cloister complex. Complex situated in dense vegetation comprising three wings grouped around a cloister garth, of which the southern is formed by the high Gothic chapel, now Herv.Church. Along the cloister-garth side of the north wing and east wing as well as along a portion of the chapel runs the vaulted cloister. The eastern portion of the northern wing is raised above a cellar vaulted by cross-ribs. Above the hall a beam ceiling with late-Gothic painted tracery and an arched-shaped projected window dated 1554. In the church richly carved stone rood screen. In the choir framing and base of a sacrament house, three-sided seating of natural stone oak choir stalls with carving and some decorative paintwork; pulpit from 1711; alms box XVII. One-manual organ by the Gebr. Van Oeckelen from 1908. Altarstone and many gravestones. The east wing contains the so-called City Hall, of which the ceiling had openwork late-Gothic panels, of which some still remain. Stuccoed chimney breast with coat of arms of the city of Groningen XVIIIb; chimney mantel brought in during restoration; castellated wainscoting matching the chimney. In a more westerly room of the north wing a late-Gothic chimney-breast. To the old inventory belonged the bell, dated 1503.
