HOFPOORT. Aan het einde van het Hofplein, in het n.w.der stad het overblijfsel van een poort van het kasteel "Batenstein". Bakstenen poort in klassicistisch-barokke vormen (XVII B), rondeel, romantisch gelegen nabij hoog geboomte.

HOFPOORT. At the end of the Hofplein, in the north-west of the city the remains of a gate of the castle "Batenstein". Brick gate in classicist-baroque forms (second half of 17th century), roundel, romantically situated near tall trees.
