STADHUIS. Langwerpig bakstenen gebouw (midden XV) met hoge, hardstenen voorgevel, bekroond met kantelen en in de ontlastingsbogen boven de vensters gotische traceringen met wapenschilden. Gotische kruisvensters. Aan de zijgevel langs de Stadhuisstraat een veelhoekige traptoren. Trapgevel met ezelsrugafdekkingen aan de achterzijde. Achter het raadhuis de v.m. Gasthuiskapel met driezijdige koorafsluiting (XV). (Gerestaureerd 1956-1961)

Description
TOWN HALL. Oblong brick building (mid-15th century) with tall, sandstone front facade, crowned with battlements and in the relieving arches above the windows gothic traceries with heraldic shields. Gothic cross windows. On the side facade along the Stadhuisstraat a polygonal stair tower. Stepped gable with saddle-back cappings on the rear side. Behind the town hall the former Gasthuiskapel with three-sided choir closure (15th century). (Restored 1956-1961)
