Omschrijving
19e eeuws bakstenen vakwerkhuis van twee bouwlagen onder met pannen gedekt zadeldak. Tot 1980 diende dit bouwwerk als berging bij het monument Van Clermontplein 6, bij de restauratie van dat woonhuis is het verplaatst en eveneens tot woning ingericht.
Aan de voorzijde van het vakwerkhuis kraagt het dak uit, ondersteund door vier consoles. De ingang - een lattendeur met driedelig bovenlicht - bevindt zich rechts in de voorgevel, daarnaast twee vensters met zesruitsverdeling en opgeklampte luiken. Op de verdieping twee vensters met een vierruitsverdeling. De achtergevel is na de verplaatsing van het huis voorzien van een aanbouw in een bouwlaag van louter baksteen onder een met pannen gedekt lessenaarsdak. De vensters in de achtergevel zijn alle verschillend in roede-verdeling, de openslaande deur met driedelig bovenlicht en het venster op de begane grond bezitten opgeklampte luiken. In de beide zijgevels drie vensters met vierruitsverdeling.
Het vakwerk is niet in een sterk met de wit gesausde muren contrasterende tint geschilderd.
Het vakwerkhuis is vanwege constructie en toegepaste materialen van belang voor de architectuurhistorie, mede vanwege de oorspronkelijke relatie met het bijzonder monumentale rijzige woonhuis van Clermontplein 6.

Description
19th-century timber-framed brick house of two storeys with a gabled roof covered in tiles. Until 1980 this building served as a storage facility for the national monument at Van Clermontplein 6; during the restoration of that residential house it was relocated and likewise converted into a residence.
At the front of the timber-framed house the roof projects, supported by four consoles. The entrance - a batten door with three-part fanlight - is located on the right in the front facade, beside it two windows with six-pane glazing bars and hinged shutters. On the upper storey two windows with four-pane glazing bars. The rear facade, after the relocation of the house, has been provided with an extension of one storey of solid brick under a catslide roof covered in tiles. The windows in the rear facade all have different glazing bar divisions; the French door with three-part fanlight and the window on the ground floor have hinged shutters. In both side facades three windows with four-pane glazing bars.
The timber framing is not painted in a shade strongly contrasting with the whitewashed walls.
The timber-framed house is significant for architectural history by virtue of its construction and the materials used, also by virtue of the original relationship with the particularly monumental tall residential house at Van Clermontplein 6.
