Wellicht 19e eeuwse wierschuur, deels op een bakstenen voet opgetrokken in hout - met staand beschot en inwendig een driebeukige dekbalkconstructie, samengesteld uit scheepshout - onder pannen zadeldak tussen puntgevels en met goten op klossen langs de beide, blinde zijgevels, oorspronkelijk dienende tot opslag en droogruimte voor het in de nabijgelegen, inmiddels gedempte sloot gezuiverde wier. Wierschuur van eenvoudige maar harmonische architectuur en voorts van belang als herinnering aan de tot omstreeks 1930 op Texel, en in het bijzonder in Oudeschild, bedreven wiercultuur.

Description
Possibly 19th-century seaweed shed, partly constructed on a brick foundation in wood - with vertical boarding and internally a three-aisle roof truss structure, assembled from ship's timber - under tiled gabled roof between pointed gables and with gutters on corbels along both blind side gables, originally serving as storage and drying space for seaweed cleaned from the nearby, now filled in ditch. Seaweed shed of simple but harmonious architecture and furthermore of importance as a reminder of the seaweed cultivation practised on Texel, and in particular in Oudeschild, until around 1930.
