Verdedigingswerk uit omstreeks 1574, verbeterd in het begin van de zeventiende eeuw en in 1810-1812. Rechthoekig terrein aan de Z.W. en N.Z. zijde begrensd door courtinewallen, twee bastions en een ravelijn uit 1810-1812, rond de oorspronkelijke vijfzijdige schans.

Fortification from around 1574, improved in the early seventeenth century and in 1810-1812. Rectangular terrain bounded on the S.W. and N.Z. side by curtain walls, two bastions and a ravelin from 1810-1812, around the original five-sided redoubt.
