BASTION IV OF OOSTELIJK BASTION MET BEER. Vol bastion met een grotendeels bebouwd terreplein en voor de rechterface een gracht ter breedte van ca. 45 meter en voor de linkerflank een gedempte gracht ter breedte van ca. 45 meter. Voor de saillant een gemetselde beer met aan de zuidzijde twee vleugelmuren en op de rug twee monniken met natuurstenen bonnet. Tegen de noordzijde van de beer een dam ter hoogte van en aansluitend op de Lekdijk. Voor de rechterflank een onderwal. Van perceel 1372 niet het deel ten noorden van de zuidgrens van perceel B 1336 en het verlengde daarvan in westelijke richting.

Description
BASTION IV OR EASTERN BASTION WITH COUNTERGUARD. Solid bastion with a largely built-up terreplein and for the right face a moat approximately 45 metres wide and for the left flank an infilled moat approximately 45 metres wide. Before the salient a masonry counterguard with on the south side two wing walls and on the crest two monks with natural stone bonnets. Against the north side of the counterguard a dam level with and adjoining the Lekdijk. For the right flank an outwork. Of plot 1372 not the part north of the southern boundary of plot B 1336 and its extension in the westerly direction.
