Omschrijving
Rechthoekig, gepleisterd blok van vier rug-aan-rug-woningen met verdiep onder met rode muldenpannen gedekt zadeldak; de lange gevels hebben een risalerende middenpartij met lage verdieping onder flauw hellend zadeldak, hebben door iets uitspringende lijsten omgeven muurvlakken en getoogde, aan de bovenzijde door uitspringende lijst omgeven vensters bij nr 11 ten dele en bij de nrs 5, 7 en 9 geheel met oorspronkelijke roedenverdeling; ter plaatse van de voormalige stalletjes tegen de korte gevels een gepleisterde, iets lagere aanbouw onder met rode opn. verb. Hollandse pannen gedekt zadeldak, met aan de voorzijde een halfrond gesloten deur met aan weerszijden een venstertje en met in de zijgevels getoogde vensters met ten dele oorspronkelijke roedenverdeling.
De woningen, gelegen te midden van de afzonderlijke, door afscheiding omgrensde erven, zijn een deel van de in 1905-1906 door de Oranje Nassau Mijnen gebouwde mijnwerkerskolonie "Leenhof I", die door aanleg, architectuur, gelijk kleur- en materiaalgebruik een eenheid vormt en die een der gaafste en voor Nederland vrij zeldzame voorbeelden is van de op de internationale, 19e eeuwse (XIX B) traditie gebaseerde arbeiderswoningbouw door industrielen.

Description
Rectangular, rendered block of four back-to-back dwellings with storey beneath red hipped tile covered gabled roof; the long facades have a projecting central section with low storey beneath gently sloping gabled roof, have wall surfaces surrounded by slightly projecting cornices and arched windows at no. 11 partly and at nos. 5, 7 and 9 entirely with original glazing bars; at the location of the former stables against the short facades a rendered, slightly lower extension beneath red new and replacement Dutch tile covered gabled roof, with at the front a semicircular closed door with a small window at each side and with arched windows in the side facades partly with original glazing bars.
The dwellings, situated amongst individual, fence-bounded plots, are part of the miners' colony "Leenhof I" built in 1905-1906 by the Oranje Nassau Mijnen, which through its layout, architecture, as well as colour and material use forms a unity and which is one of the most intact and for the Netherlands quite rare examples of late-19th-century workers' housing construction based on international tradition built by industrialists.
