Omschrijving
Enveloppe, onderdeel van het verdedigingswerk vesting Naarden, deel uitmakend van de Nieuwe Hollandse Waterlinie. De enveloppe bestaat uit een aanleg van een aarden wal met bedekte weg en rondom voorliggende natte buitengracht.
De wal volgt het beloop van de buitenboordzijde van de natte binnengracht vanaf de bastion Katten, helemaal rondom de vesting.
Op de enveloppe bevinden zich gebouwen:
- Een bomvrij wachthuis, gesitueerd nabij de Oostbeer (gebouw R 1);
- Tien betonnen schuilplaatsen als volgt gesitueerd:
• achter dit wachthuis (gebouw H 2);
• voor het ravelijn Katten-Oranje (gebouw G 2);
• ten zuiden van het zuidelijk boomgat bij de Oostbeer (gebouw I 2);
• bij de aan de buitengrachtzijde gelegen wapenplaats tegenover bastion Oranje (gebouw K 2);
• tegenover ravelijn Oranje-Promers (gebouw M 2);
• westelijk van de brugwachterswoning (gebouw R 2);
• aan de Korte bedekte weg, tegenover de rechterface van bastion Promers (gebouw S 2);
• tegenover het ravelijn Promers-Turfpoort (gebouw V 1);
• tegenover de saillant van het bastion Turfpoort (gebouw Y 1);
• aan de Lange bedekte weg, nabij de Burg. van Wettumweg (gebouw Z 1).
- Twee betonnen schuilplaatsen (1895-96), als volgt gesitueerd:
• gesitueerd nabij de Kapt. G.A. Meijerweg, uitgevoerd met zich verjongende zijgevels en getoogde korte eindgevels, met dubbele stalen schuifdeuren(gebouw P 2);
• tegenover de linkerface van het bastion Turfpoort (gebouw W 1).
- In het dijklichaam van de Oostdijk, op pl.m. 70 m. van de Oostbeer in de as van de buitengracht, de gewapend betonnen fundering van een tankversperring.
- Duiker/keersluis in aarden wal, wateraanvoer vanuit gracht fort Ronduit.

Description
Enveloppe, component of the defensive work of the fortress Naarden, forming part of the Nieuwe Hollandse Waterlinie. The enveloppe consists of an arrangement of an earthen rampart with covered way and surrounding wet outer moat.
The rampart follows the course of the outer side of the wet inner moat from bastion Katten, right around the fortress.
On the enveloppe are located buildings:
- A bomb-proof guardhouse, situated near the Oostbeer (building R 1);
- Ten concrete shelters situated as follows:
• behind this guardhouse (building H 2);
• in front of the ravelin Katten-Oranje (building G 2);
• south of the southern boom gate at the Oostbeer (building I 2);
• by the weapon store on the outer moat side opposite bastion Oranje (building K 2);
• opposite ravelin Oranje-Promers (building M 2);
• west of the bridge keeper's dwelling (building R 2);
• on the Korte covered way, opposite the right face of bastion Promers (building S 2);
• opposite the ravelin Promers-Turfpoort (building V 1);
• opposite the salient of bastion Turfpoort (building Y 1);
• on the Lange covered way, near the Burg. van Wettumweg (building Z 1).
- Two concrete shelters (1895-96), situated as follows:
• situated near the Kapt. G.A. Meijerweg, executed with tapered side walls and arched short end walls, with double steel sash doors (building P 2);
