Omschrijving
Herv.Kerk en toren op verhoogd kerkhof. De kerk vormt het dwarspand van een overigens verdwenen 13e eeuwse kruiskerk; inwendig is de muurbehandeling met spaarvelden en omkraalde nissen uit de late romano-gotiek te zien. Kap en afwerking dateren van na de brand in 1880. Vrijstaande toren nog wel 13e eeuws, gedekt door een zadeldak tussen topgevels, door spaarvelden versierd. In de kerk halfronde preekstoel met klankbord. Rouwborden Rengers-Piccardt 1704 en 1712. Zerk Rengers-van Laer onder het zuidervenster. Twee koperen kronen. In de toren klok uit 1373 waarschijnlijk afkomstig van de v.m. kloosterkerk van Wittewierum. Eenklaviersorgel in 1855 gemaakt door Gebr. van Oeckelen.

Description
Reformed Church and tower on raised churchyard. The church forms the transverse nave of an otherwise disappeared 13th century cruciform church; internally the wall treatment with sparing fields and beaded niches can be seen from the late Romanesque-Gothic period. Roof truss structure and finish date from after the fire in 1880. Free-standing tower still 13th century, covered by a gabled roof between pointed gables, ornamented by sparing fields. In the church a semicircular pulpit with sounding board. Mourning boards Rengers-Piccardt 1704 and 1712. Gravestone Rengers-van Laer beneath the south window. Two brass crowns. In the tower a bell from 1373 probably originating from the former monastery church of Wittewierum. Single-manual organ made in 1855 by Gebr. van Oeckelen.
