Omschrijving
MACHINEGEBOUW. Het voormalige machinegebouw, gesitueerd midden op het terrein tegenover het tussenlid tussen de zuiveringshuizen, heeft een tweebeukige opzet, onder twee zadeldaken, voorzien van terracottadakkammen; de lange gevels tellen elk vijf traveeën, elk voorzien van hooggeplaatste rondboogvormige gekoppelde vensters, lisenen en tandfries, en zij worden afgesloten met een gootlijst op klossen; de korte eindgevels van de lagere zijvleugels worden doorbroken door lange rondboogvensters met tracering in Hollandse Renaissance trant, terwijl de middenpartij lange vensters met getoogde boogtrommels bezit. De inwendige constructie bestaat uit houten Philibert-spanten, welke constructie rust op eenvoudige wandpilasters.

Description
ENGINE HOUSE. The former engine house, situated in the middle of the site opposite the middle section between the filter houses, has a two-aisle arrangement, under two gabled roofs, provided with terracotta roof crests; the long gables each contain five bays, each provided with high-placed round-arched coupled windows, pilaster strips and dentil frieze, and they are closed off with a gutter moulding on corbels; the short end gables of the lower side aisles are broken through by long round-arched windows with tracery in Dutch Renaissance manner, while the middle section possesses long windows with arched arch drums. The internal construction consists of wooden Philibert roof trusses, which construction rests on simple wall pilasters.
