POORT EN DOORGANG AAN HET VOORPLEIN. Tegen de uiteinden van stal en koetshuis c.a. geplaatste toegangsomlijstingen, waarvan de zuidelijke nog in de oorspronkelijke vorm van vierkante bakstenen hekpijlers met vierkante en rechthoekige verdiepte velden en natuurstenen afdekplaten (vierde kwart zeventiende eeuw; de hekvleugels zijn niet meer aanwezig) en de noordelijke, aansluitend op de tweede brug in de oprijweg aan de zijde van het bastion en oorspronkelijk gelijk aan de zuidelijke, in het vierde kwart van de negentiende eeuw of het eerste kwart van de twintigste eeuw tot poort verbouwd door het aanbrengen van een de pijlers verbindende boog in zeventiende-eeuwse stijl, met voor een ophaalbrug bedoelde sleuven en een aan de bovenzijde in- en uitgezwenkt spijlenhek van twee vleugels met vertakte pieken, dat door een tweezijdige bekleding met planken tot deur is gemaakt; bekronende zittende natuurstenen wapenleeuwen uit de tijd van de verbouwing.

Description
GATE AND PASSAGE AT THE FORECOURT. Access surrounds placed against the ends of the stable and coach house c.a., of which the southern one still in its original form of square brick gate pillars with square and rectangular recessed fields and natural stone capping plates (fourth quarter seventeenth century; the gate wings are no longer present) and the northern one, adjoining the second bridge in the drive at the side of the bastion and originally the same as the southern one, in the fourth quarter of the nineteenth century or the first quarter of the twentieth century converted into a gate by the addition of an arch connecting the pillars in seventeenth-century style, with slots intended for a drawbridge and a spindle gate of two wings with branched finials pivoting inwards and outwards at the top, which has been made into a door by a double-sided cladding with boards; crowned by seated natural stone heraldic lions from the time of the conversion.
