Nieuwe Rijn 8-9: In 1900 naar ontwerp van W.C. Mulder gebouwd WINKELWOONHUIS vanwege de eveneens door W.C. Mulder ontworpen winkelpui in Jugendstil-trant, tevens verheeld met het rechterbuurpand Nieuwe Rijn 10.
De gehele pui (nummers 8-9-10) bevat drie portieken met daartussen twee etalagepartijen, die elk zijn uitgevoerd met gebogen glaswanden rustend op een lage hardstenen plint en aan de bovenzijde voorzien van een golvende onderverdeling. De pui wordt afgesloten door een stalen puibalk, steunend op twee gietijzeren kolommen in het midden en de met zwart graniet beklede penanten, die zijn voorzien van hardstenen basementen en bekroningen; boven de puibalk een hardstenen waterlijst en tandlijst.
Het linkerportiek, leidend naar de bovenwoning op nummer 8, bevat links een gekleurd tegeltableau in Jugendstil-trant met florale motieven en het opschrift "Robes et Confections, vervaardigd door de firma Holland, en voorts de ingangspartij met paneeldeur, gebogen dorpels en in het bovenlicht een golvende onderverdeling.
Het middenportiek, met ingang tot de winkel, bevat twee dubbele paneeldeuren, deels van glas voorzien, waarbij het golvend lijnenpatroon is voortgezet.
Het rechterportiek, leidend naar de bovenwoning van nummer 10, heeft rechts een kleurig, maar sober tegeltableau in Jugendstil-trant, en bevat verder een vergelijkbare, zij het gespiegelde ingangspartij als nummer 8.
In Jugendstil-trant uitgevoerde winkelpui met bijbehorende ingangsportieken, gebogen etalage-partijen, tegeltableaux, golvende detaillering, stalen draagconstructie en andere elementen van belang wegens de voor deze stijl kenmerkende vormgeving en in zijn soort relatieve gaafheid en als zodanig van architectuur- en cultuurhistorische waarde.
Nieuwe Rijn 10: In verschillende bouwperioden tot stand gekomen woonwinkelpand met twee verdiepingen onder afgeplat pannen schilddak met dakkapel, voorzien van een zestien-ruits-schuifvenster, en met bakstenen gevel waarin per verdieping drie getoogde T-vensters, bekroond door een door consoles gedragen rechte kroonlijst uit de tweede helft van de achttiende eeuw; op de begane grond de door W.C. Mulder in 1900 ontworpen winkelpui in Jugendstil-trant, tevens verheeld met het linkerbuurpand Nieuwe Rijn 8-9.

Nieuwe Rijn 8-9: Built in 1900 to the design of W.C. Mulder, a SHOP-DWELLING HOUSE on account of the shop front in Jugendstil style, also designed by W.C. Mulder, and also enhanced by the right neighbour Nieuwe Rijn 10.
The entire front (numbers 8-9-10) contains three porches with between them two display window sections, each executed with curved glass walls resting on a low ashlar plinth and provided at the top with a wavy subdivision. The front is closed off by a steel shop front beam, resting on two cast-iron columns in the middle and the black granite-clad pilasters, which are provided with ashlar bases and capitals; above the shop front beam a drip moulding and dentil moulding of ashlar.
The left porch, leading to the upper dwelling at number 8, contains on the left a coloured tile tableau in Jugendstil style with floral motifs and the inscription "Robes et Confections", made by the firm Holland, and furthermore the entrance section with panelled door, curved thresholds and in the fanlight a wavy subdivision.
The middle porch, with entrance to the shop, contains two double panelled doors, partly glazed, whereby the wavy line pattern is continued.
The right porch, leading to the upper dwelling of number 10, has on the right a colourful, but sober tile tableau in Jugendstil style, and contains furthermore a comparable, albeit mirrored entrance section as number 8.
