Omschrijving
Laatgotische kapel van het voormalige Karthuizerklooster (thans Seminarie) met rijk stucplafond in Lodewijk XV-stijl. Aan de noordzijde de vroegere sacristie, XV. Aan de westkant de voormalige kapittelzaal met stergewelf, 1556. Ten westen hiervan de refter, inwendig, XVIII. Pandhof, XVII of XVIIIb. Tuinmuur langs drie zijden van het voormalige kloosterterrein, met o.a. aan de hoek Bethlehemstraat-Voogdijstraat laatgotische fragmenten. Inventaris: o.a. biechtstoel in regencestijl, koperen lezenaar, XVIa, kandelaars, schilderijen, XVII-XVIII, orgeltribune en orgelkas van J.B. le Picard (omstreeks 1740). In deze kas is een drieklaviers instrument geplaatst van W.Robustelly, gemaakt in 1762 voor de St.Nicolaaskerk te Eupen (Belgie). In 1967 werd dit instrument aangekocht door Verschueren Orgelbouw te Heythuysen. In 1993 kocht het bisdom Roermond het instrument voor plaatsing in de Caroluskapel. Klokkenstoel met klok van onbekende gieter, diam. 68 cm.

Description
Late Gothic chapel of the former Carthusian monastery (now Seminary) with richly stuccoed ceiling in Louis XV style. On the north side the former sacristy, 15th century. On the west side the former chapter house with stellar vault, 1556. To the west of this the refectory, internally, 18th century. Cloister garth, 17th or second half of 18th century. Garden wall along three sides of the former monastery grounds, with among others at the corner Bethlehemstraat-Voogdijstraat late Gothic fragments. Inventory: among others confessional in Regence style, copper lectern, first half of 16th century, candelabra, paintings, 17th-18th centuries, organ gallery and organ case by J.B. le Picard (circa 1740). In this case is placed a three-manual instrument by W. Robustelly, made in 1762 for the St. Nicolaaskerk in Eupen (Belgium). In 1967 this instrument was purchased by Verschueren Orgelbouw in Heythuysen. In 1993 the diocese of Roermond purchased the instrument for placement in the Caroluskapel. Bell tower with bell by unknown founder, diam. 68 cm.
