Omschrijving
Slot Rhoon. In oorsprong laat-middeleeuws kasteel, grotendeels herbouwd omstreeks 1598. Complex van vleugels met zadeldaken tussen punt- en topgevels. Twee veelhoekige traptorens. In de zuidelijke vleugel ingangspartij met gebosseerde pilasters. Het slot werd gepleisterd en gemoderniseerd in het eerste kwart van de negentiende eeuw door Van Hoboken. Zesdelige Empireschuiframen uit die tijd. Inwendig: in de keuken een schouw (zeventiende eeuw), in de grote zaal, oudtijds vierschaar, gebrandschilderde ramen (zeventiende eeuw) en resten van een slotkapel.

Description
Castle Rhoon. Originally late medieval castle, largely rebuilt around 1598. Complex of wings with gabled roofs between pointed and gable ends. Two polygonal staircase towers. In the southern wing entrance section with rusticated pilasters. The castle was plastered and modernized in the first quarter of the nineteenth century by Van Hoboken. Six-part Empire sash windows from that period. Interior: in the kitchen a chimney-piece (seventeenth century), in the great hall, formerly judicial assembly, stained-glass windows (seventeenth century) and remains of a castle chapel.
