Omschrijving
Groot Spriel. In 1880 gebouwd landhuis in neorenaissancevormen. Bakstenen gebouw, rijk versierd met gecanneleerde en geblokte pilasters, gebogen en driehoekige frontons en, in de achtergevel, festoenen tussen consoles in het fries van de kroonlijst. Afgeknot schilddak met oeil-de-boeufs. De achtergevel heeft voor het rechter gedeelte een driezijdig uitgebouwde erker met balkon en, in de gevel daarboven te weerszijden van het vensters pilasters, waartussen nissen met borstbeelden. Tegen de rechter zijgevel een uitgebouwde tuinkamer met boogvensters tussen geblokte dubbele pilasters en bekroond door een balustrade. In 1907 werd het gebouw uitgebreid met een zware hoektoren naast de voorgevel met uitgebouwde traptoren, gepleisterde hoekkettingen en afgeknot tentdak met balustrade bekroond. Interieurs uit de bouwtijd met betimmeringen, schouwen, deuromlijstingen en plafonds in neorenaissancestijl. Description
Groot Spriel. A country house built in 1880 in neo-Renaissance forms. Brick building, richly decorated with fluted and rusticated pilasters, curved and triangular pediments and, in the rear facade, festoons between consoles in the frieze of the cornice. Truncated hipped roof with oval windows. The rear facade has, for the right section, a three-sided projecting oriel with balcony and, in the facade above on either side of the windows, pilasters, between which niches with busts. Against the right side facade a projecting garden room with arched windows between rusticated double pilasters and topped by a balustrade. In 1907 the building was extended with a heavy corner tower next to the front facade with projecting stair tower, plastered corner chains and truncated tent roof crowned with a balustrade. Interiors from the time of construction with panelling, fireplaces, door surrounds and ceilings in neo-Renaissance style. Near the house a coach house in neo-Renaissance style with projecting central section under a mansard roof.
