Omschrijving
Herv. Kerk op verhoogd omheind kerkhof. Grote, geheel overwelfde, romanogotische kruiskerk uit het einde van de 13e eeuw, in 1915 gerestaureerd. Uitwendige opbouw in twee zones, waarvan de benedenste ronde nissen vertoont binnen spitsboogvelden van het koor. Op de gewelven zijn gedeelten schilderingen behouden. In de kerk preekstoel met rijk gesneden kuip, trap, kapstokplaat en klankbord, alles gesneden door Casper Struiving in 1736; doop doophek met siervazen en lezenaar uit 1770; overhuifde herenbank met gesneden bekroning uit 1671; vloer en banken in het koor blijkens opschrift op de luifelbank ook uit 1671; koorafsluiting met gestoelten en banken uit 1709, overige banken met knoppen als koorbanken. Groot orgel uit 1795, gemaakt door H.H. Freytag en F.C. Schnitger jr. Klokkenstoel met gelui van twee klokken, waarvan één van H. Kellerman, 1610, diam. 122 cm. en een moderne klok. Description
Reformed Church on raised enclosed churchyard. Large, entirely vaulted, Romano-Gothic cruciform church from the end of the 13th century, restored in 1915. External structure in two zones, of which the lower one shows round niches within pointed arch fields of the choir. Painted sections are preserved on the vaults. In the church a pulpit with richly carved tub, staircase, hat-rack plate and canopy, all carved by Casper Struiving in 1736; baptismal font with decorative gate with ornamental vases and lectern from 1770; canopied gentlemen's bench with carved cresting from 1671; floor and benches in the choir according to inscription on the canopy bench also from 1671; choir screen with stalls and benches from 1709, other benches with knobs like choir benches. Large organ from 1795, made by H.H. Freytag and F.C. Schnitger jr. Bell frame with a ring of two bells, one of which is by H. Kellerman, 1610, diameter 122 cm, and a modern bell. Mechanical tower clock, later provided with electric winding.
