Omschrijving
Apostolische of Latijnsche School. Langgerekt, rechthoekig gebouw met verdieping en half zadeldak, aan de westzijde afgesloten door een trapgevel, gebouwd 1544-1545 door Herman van Herengrave in vroege renaissancevormen. Gerestaureerd omstreeks 1965. Natuurstenen gotisch poortje, waarboven stadswapen in ezelsrugboog-omlijsting. Natuurstenen plint. De vensters van de benedenverdieping worden omvat door korfboognissen met driepastraceringen; hierboven een renaissancefries, onderbroken door gebeeldhouwde consoles, waarop thans vernieuwde apostelbeelden. De vensters van de verdieping worden omlijst door korfboognissen met renaissancebanderolles in de boogvelden. Kroonlijst met renaissancefries en gebeeldhouwde consoles. De zijtrapgevel bezit een rijke ornamentatie in renaissancetrant.

Description
Apostolic or Latin School. Elongated, rectangular building with storey and half gabled roof, closed on the west side by a stepped gable, built 1544-1545 by Herman van Herengrave in early Renaissance forms. Restored circa 1965. Natural stone Gothic small gate, above which city coat of arms in saddle-back arch framing. Natural stone plinth. The windows of the ground floor are encompassed by basket arch openings with three-moulding frames; above this a Renaissance frieze, interrupted by sculptured consoles, upon which now renewed apostle figures. The windows of the storey are framed by basket arch openings with Renaissance banderolles in the arch fields. Cornice with Renaissance frieze and sculptured consoles. The stepped gable side facade possesses rich ornamentation in Renaissance style.
