Omschrijving
Oude Mannen- en Vrouwenhuis.
In 1781-1784 gesticht als Armziekenhuis, in 1812 in gebruik genomen als Oudeliedentehuis.
Het gebouw is met de achtergevel geplaatst aan de rooilijn van Klein Vlaanderen en heeft het niveau daarvan. De aan de voorzijde voor het gebouw aangelegde voortuin met twee marmeren tuinbeelden, achttiende eeuw, is toegankelijk vanaf de hoger gelegen Herengracht via een trap.
De aan de tuinzijde gelegen hoofdgevel van het huis heeft een middenfront met pilasters en driehoekig fronton met het wapen van Middelburg; aan deze zijde tevens rechthoekig op het hoofdgebouw staande zijvleugels.

Old Men's and Women's House.
Founded in 1781-1784 as a Poor Hospital, taken into use in 1812 as an Old Peoples' Home.
The building is positioned with its rear facade on the building line of Klein Vlaanderen and has the level thereof. The front garden laid out in front of the building facing the front, with two marble garden sculptures, eighteenth century, is accessible from the higher-lying Herengracht via a staircase.
The main facade of the house situated on the garden side has a central front with pilasters and triangular pediment with the coat of arms of Middelburg; on this side also rectangular side wings standing on the main building.
