Omschrijving
Hervormde Kerk en toren, op terprest als Kerkhof. Forse dorpskerk met mooie toren, gelegen op een door een ringweg omgeven terp. Het schip, in oorsprong romaans, is later herhaaldelijk vergroot en gewijzigd. De toren uit drie geledingen bestaand, waarvan de bovenste elk met een enkel spaarveld versierd, is in 1589 bekroond door de sierlijke uivormige spits met vier hoekpinakels. Twee herinneringsstenen inzake de herbouw in de toren. In de kerk twee zestiende-eeuwse en twee zeventiende-eeuwse grote zerken met renaissance-ornament, waarvan één toegeschreven aan Vincent Lucas, één door Pyter Dircksz en één door Claes Jelles. Description
Reformed Church and tower, on terpen as Churchyard. Substantial village church with fine tower, situated on a terpen surrounded by a ringway. The nave, originally Romanesque, was later repeatedly enlarged and altered. The tower consisting of three stages, of which the uppermost each decorated with a single spandrel, was crowned in 1589 by the elegant owl-shaped spire with four corner pinnacles. Two memorial stones regarding the rebuilding in the tower. In the church two sixteenth-century and two seventeenth-century large gravestones with Renaissance ornament, one of which attributed to Vincent Lucas, one by Pyter Dircksz and one by Claes Jelles. Organ with Great Work and Upper Work, made in 1867 by W. Hardorff. Bell frame with bell by J. ter Steghe, 1544, diameter 116 centimetre. Mechanical wrought iron tower clock, 1589.
