Omschrijving
Ter plaatse ener oudere, op ruim kerkhof, in 1777-'79 gebouwde kerk op centraal grondplan naar ontwerp van stadsbouwmeester van Harlingen Willem Douwes. Hoofdingang omlijst en bekroond door fronton met 1778. In de kerk preekstoel met achterschot en klankbord door J.G. Hempel met bijpassend doophek versierd door z.g. vlampotten op de hoeken. Twee familiebanken, tochtportaal, alles eind 18e eeuw. Eénklaviers orgel van J. Mitterreither uit 1780. Geschilderd gedenkbord inzake de oudere en tegenwoordige kerk. Onder de vloer een zerk door Vincent Lucas, 1547. Op het kerkhof talrijke 17e eeuwse zerken. Klokkestoel met klok van W. Wegewaert, 1593, diam. 113 cm. Mechanisch torenuurwerk Gebr. van Bergen, Midwolda, 1924, nr. 7985.

Description
On the site of an older church, built in 1777-'79 on a spacious churchyard on a central ground plan after a design by city architect of Harlingen Willem Douwes. Main entrance framed and crowned by a pediment with 1778. In the church a pulpit with backboard and sounding board by J.G. Hempel with matching baptismal gate decorated by so-called flame pots at the corners. Two family pews, draught vestibule, all from the late 18th century. Single-manual organ by J. Mitterreither from 1780. Painted commemorative board concerning the older and present church. Below the floor a gravestone by Vincent Lucas, 1547. On the churchyard numerous 17th-century gravestones. Bell tower with bell by W. Wegewaert, 1593, diam. 113 cm. Mechanical tower clockwork Gebr. van Bergen, Midwolda, 1924, no. 7985.
