Description

Raised house (first quarter seventeenth century) under a tile-covered gabled roof with a simple spout gable (first half twentieth century) consisting of a brick facade and wooden top, and wooden side gables on a brick base. In the mitred part of the door frame in the spout gable is an inscription: ANNO 1607 and in the upper door jamb is an inscription: KB 9 carved. The house possesses a 17th-century timber frame and roof truss structure. The timber frame consists of five frames, each composed of two frame posts and braces, and a frame beam. The roof truss structure of the type without herringbone bracing with principal rafters was raised at the beginning of this century by means of short posts. The house also possesses an 18th-century interior including an 18th-century chimneypiece with on either side cupboards with glazed and panelled doors, a water well and wooden partition walls in which the glazed and panelled doors and bedsteads are incorporated. The interior and the facades of the house were restored in 1993. The cellar was thereby covered by the renewed ground floor.
